Information in Your Website Message
The Contact form asks for the following details:
| Field | Your choice | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Topic | Required to submit a message | Identify the type of website enquiry |
| Page URL | Optional | Locate the page affected by a report |
| Message | Required to submit a message | Explain the issue, factual correction or request |
| E-mail for a reply | Optional | Send a response about your message |
The reply address is used to answer your enquiry. You can report an error without giving an e-mail address; leave one if you want an e-mail response.
Include the passage, page link or action that identifies the website issue. Remove unrelated personal details from any text you copy into the message. Passwords, payment-card details and identity documents are not needed for a website correction.
The website’s role and sources explain the editorial work behind these reports.
Technical Information Used to Deliver the Website
When your browser requests a page or submits a message, the systems delivering the website receive technical request information. This can include a network address, requested URL, time of the request, browser information and an error or response status.
Technical information helps deliver pages, handle submissions, investigate faults and protect the service from misuse. What a request contains depends on your browser and network; receiving those details does not mean every one is saved in a log.
Who Handles Website Information
Website messages are handled by the publisher and people authorised to deal with the relevant enquiry. Providers used for hosting or delivering messages may process information needed for those services.
Access to correspondence is limited to what is needed to handle the enquiry and operate its delivery. Information may also be disclosed where a binding legal obligation requires it.
Cookies and Information in Your Browser
Cookies and other browser storage can retain information on your device, such as a preference. Your browser’s privacy settings let you inspect, block or remove cookies and site data.
Where a service provides consent controls for optional storage, use those controls to accept or refuse the relevant uses and change your choice. Choices made for an external game or website apply to that service.
Deleting browser data removes the relevant device-side copy. It does not delete a website message you have already submitted or request the removal of information held by another service.
Keeping and Removing Information
Correspondence is kept while a report, response, correction or necessary follow-up remains open, and where an applicable record-keeping requirement calls for it.
When identifying information is no longer needed for those purposes, it is removed from retained editorial records or the correspondence is deleted. Technical records are retained for the operational or security purpose that requires them. A specific legal obligation or continuing dispute may require a relevant record to be kept longer.
Your Privacy Requests
Depending on the law that applies and the type of processing, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, restrict its use, or obtain a portable copy. Where processing relies on your consent, you can withdraw that consent.
You may also have a right to object to processing, including processing based on legitimate interests. The applicable law determines the scope of the right and any grounds for continuing the processing.
To send a privacy request, select Other website question and state:
- What you want to access, correct, delete or otherwise change.
- Which website message or information your request concerns.
- The approximate date and the reply address used for an earlier message, if applicable.
Include a reply address if you want an e-mail response. Before disclosing personal information, we may need more details to find the record and confirm that it concerns you.
You may also have the right to complain to the data protection authority responsible under the law that applies to your request.
External Games and Websites
A game session opened through another service uses that service’s account and privacy arrangements. Information sent directly to it, including account details or a request about its records, is handled under its own privacy information.
For a question about game-account information, use the support route described in game-account enquiries. The website message form is for information handled by this website.
Changes to This Notice
Changes to the processing described here require an updated notice. The revised version and its update date will be made available on this page.
